... and so begins the week or so of waiting for essential mods to be updated and new bug reports to roll in. Thanks Caerfinon. Checking Luthienrising's mod thread is literally part of my daily routine, along with my email and the morning news, so I didn't think about it.  |

Really not liking the "do in game quests to get stuff" aspect of it. I actually prefer this to the last time, when all we had to do was log in. Maybe I’ll change my mind and find it really annoying because it forces me to stop playing my own game just to get rewards …. but on the other hand, maybe it’ll be fun? I’ve updated my game and played for a bit without any issues. I play with an almost vanilla game now as when I used to have MCCC I got fed up having to wait for that to be updated before I could get back to my game 🙂 |

I don't see MCCC in the list of Broken Mods, except for a problem with the auto-freebuild option. Maybe I'm just blind? 🤔
I think I'll wait a bit with this update until I have a better overview of my many Mods.
I am not particularly fond of these events either. I have tried making ambrosias. It took time to develop all the skills, so not something I'm keen to repeat.
I can't quite figure out if it is necessary to complete some tasks or if you just complete by logging into the game online.

I think the reward event looks fun! With the quest element it's more like a scenario than a login reward.

Sharing my thoughts here from the other thread: It's a big bunch of fixes, y'all. I'm really excited about a lot of them. The thing I am most excited about is the performance updates related to memory. Was not expecting them to do anything about this for such an old game. I have two theories: 1. They are serious about continuing to support TS4 for a long time to come, and want the game to have room for many more packs 2. Memory issues could be the cause of the Big Bug in For Rent answers.ea.com/t5/Bug-Reports/NEEDS-SAVES-Orange-Green-Exclamation-signs-over-lots-Houses/m-p/10533991This was the exclamation point bug, now they've taken the exclamation points away and saves just quietly corrupt bit by bit as lots either cannot be entered or disappear. So even though they haven't yet put that bug on a laundry list, this might be an essential part of the architecture to fix it... this could be an indication that they're headed towards a fix. I hope both theories are true! |

Oh! I recognize the saving error. I have a picture I took of an infected plot. There was a green exclamation mark and the plot was gone. It is from March 27 this year.
I don't remember how I solved it, but since I have a lot of copies of the same game I probably just deleted the file and started over in another Saves.

And MCCC is usually one of the fastest to offer at least a hotfix, so really not a big wait anyway , when needed. Looks like very little mods got broken with this, columns in CAS and UI cheats already updated , from those what always break. I still use DX9 as default, because I have Intel GPU, but I would still revert back to it anyway if using DX11. Imo its not better yet, in here, this game, but that is purely an opinion. be <---- EDIT: no tiniest idea what this was doing there o.O |

ellupelluellu Thanks for clarifying. I can't really play without MCCC anymore, as I have made so many settings related to my game 😊 UI cheats are updated! I think I will go back to my test family and get the update.

freddyfox1234 You were not at all confusing 😊 I was just wondering that I didn't see MCCC in either the Broken Mods or Updated Mods lists. mightysprite Your comparison between the new event and a scenario is probably quite accurate. I'm trying to get used to the idea. Maybe it will be fun 🤔

ellupelluellu I used both the reports on Sims After Dark discord, and Luthienrising's list. There were lots of mod updates on both, so I assumed all those sudden updates were due to the patch breaking stuff. Maybe "a lot" is a relative term I only use 2 mods, so when I see 20-30 mods getting updated on the same afternoon I think that's a lot. I think they actually gave modders some kind of a head start this time? A lot of updates came out really fast, and I saw some comment about modders getting some information ahead of time, but don't know any details.
