Thanks for the link Caerfinon. I really hope that they get to it soon. I'm living in fear of this error right now, because going online would mean I have to update, and I'm avoiding that due to the overlapping festivals bug which would destroy many of my most important saves. Super frustrating.

Update: The results of my San Myshuno testing is as follows;
I moved all my played characters out of apartments in the city and moved them into normal residential lots in other worlds. These characters could attend festivals normally without any overlapping of festivals. Each one disappeared at the end of the festival.
I had one played character remain in San Myshuno but moved into the residential lot "The Old Salt House" in the Spice District. The Spice festival appeared normally and my character attended it. When the festival was scheduled to end, it disappeared with no left behind items and all of the vendors and attendees left as well.
It seems as long as you don't use apartments the festivals work as intended, (I do miss using apartments though)

Caerfinon, I can't in honesty say I find that good news, but I appreciate you taking the effort to run the experiment and report the results.

Caerfinon Thanks for testing and reporting. It's helpful information to me, because at some point I'm probably going to be forced to update. It sounds like I'd be able to continue getting San Myshuno outdoor area screenshots for SAM by having one save where I don't ever use apartments. Interior apartment shots can still be done in glitched saves if we can't see the festival grounds out the windows. I really hope they just fix this problem soon though. Have you tested what happens in other worlds that have festivals, such as Mount Komorebi, Sulani, or Henford?

Thanks Caerfinon! Did the Old Salt House residents happen to discover any festival items in their household inventory later?

mightysprite No festival items appeared in the household inventory GlacierSnow I have tested the Henford-on-Bagley Cow Fair, the Mount Komorebi Festival of Snow, and the Sulani Town BBQ. All three appeared at the proper time and were removed after they had completed. I tested all with the character from San Myshuno.

Thanks for being a great investigator Caerfinon! Was the character from San Myshuno that you tested the other worlds' festivals with living in a San Myshuno apartment or in the Old Salt House?

GlacierSnow The character lives in the Old Salt House. I have no characters living in apartments in San Myshuno nor Evergreen Harbor.
