ellupelluellu Thank you for the explanation. Changing the graphics in the ingame settings sounds like something I could handle if I run into a problem 😅 Did you download the updates yourself or am I the only one who jumped into the deep water?

I am now vanillatesting the festival thing. So far after one fleamarket and one humor&jinks , all good, but need to see romance and geekcon too. I know some people have the overlapping bug, but strongly looks like its once again one of these that only parts of the players have it. I play a lot at SM and would hate to have it. |

I updated right away because I wanted the bug fixes.
There were a LOT of bug fixes! I certainly feel like updating was worth it, despite the fact that not everything is perfect.
Looks like many people with the festivals bug use TOOL, but some people get it without any mods.

I've reached the point where my mods are updated/cleared to the point where I could safely upgrade, but I will probably leave it until next weekend to see how the current bugs are resolved.

It sounds like the error is related to San Myshuno apartments. In my test game, I don't have anyone living in San Myshuno, but I will definitely wait to return to my main game and my San Myshuno residents until a bug fix comes out.

I've taken some San Myshuno precautions, all my apartment dwelling played characters have been moved to residential lots. Will see if this prevents festival sprawl when I upgrade.

With a new patch (promising some fixes) coming this week, I'm going to pause any update activity until after the dust settles from it. Details: simscommunity.info/2024/09/28/sims-4-patch-live-events-fix/ Highlights: This update is not only an emergency update to fix current Reaper’s Rewards Event bugs, but also an unlock of all the Season 1 Live Event objects. People who didn’t participate in the Happy At Home Event and / or came across issues while playing it will have all the CAS items, Build Objects and a new Trait waiting for them in Base Game. |

Good grief. I guess I won't be updating for a long time. I can't work on SAM if San Myshuno is seriously bugged like that. Its an old bug returning, and happens instantly if you load apartment. I moved my sims out temporally too, called it "Overlapping Festival Syndrome" here
I really hope it to be fixed soon  |
