Here is a thread for leaving suggestions about how to improve this forum. Or to find out that the thing you are suggesting is already here and you just didn't know it.

If we don't already have this feature, is it possible to set up a way to link directly to a specific post on a thread so someone we give the link to can start reading from that point onward?
For example, in my Blueprint Builds entries thread, if I add a slideshow for a new entry, I'd like to be able to provide a link directly to the first post in that entry's slideshow to other participants over on AlJay2000's challenge thread on the EA forum. That way they don't have to scroll through old entries to see the new entry's pictures.
If this feature already exists, please let me know how to do it, because I can't figure out if I can or not or how.

GlacierSnow , a lot of functions are quite hidden, that's true! I found something looking like the link to a single post hidden in the small icon in the top right of the post, next to the "like" botton: It shows up two links, one for the post in the thread (which seems to open the thread at the point where the post is) or to the post only (which opens the post only). It's a bit "old style", isn't it?

HermioneSims Thanks! That looks like what I'm looking for. Lol. I'm really bad about checking menus apparently. 😆

SnuffyBucket Ooo! That's perfect. Much more obvious! Thank you!

The "spoiler" feature seems kind of hard to use. For one thing the box to type in is pretty small, making it hard to see what we've written while writing it. I tried dragging the sides out to resize it, but only the outer box expands, the inner text box actually still stays the same size. It least that's what happened for me.
And trying to include multiple paragraphs in the same spoiler resulted in a weird thing when I posted the comment. Each paragraph was in its own spoiler, with blank spoilers in between them. I had to go back in to edit (and into the BBCode tab) to remove the blank spoilers and make sure all the paragraphs were included in the same spoiler. It would be nice if this feature could be made more intuitive. Also, can we include pictures in a spoiler? I haven't tried yet, but the spoiler interface doesn't have the same tool buttons as the main body comment box does. So someone wanting to include a picture would have to know the code to do so, I assume. Feels a little daunting for people not familiar with the code.

Hey GlacierSnow - I agree the spoiler button is awkward if you have longer 'spoilers' and it's something I'm working on. Fortunately, this function will work the same way as the old forum did, code-wise, so anything with [spoiler] at the start and [/spoiler] at the end will be hidden exactly as you want it to look. I'm trying to figure out how to make that function apply to what you highlight (e.g. so that highlighting your whole paragraph and clicking 'spoiler' will do the trick by adding the spoiler tags for you) - I'm not a pro at coding by any stretch so it's taking me quite a bit of trial and error. But I'm nothing if not determined. 😆 So, for now, I think easiest way around this is if you type out your post exactly as you want it to be displayed using the preview tab, if that's your preference, then switch to the bbcode tab and add [spoiler] at the start and [/spoiler] at the end of the text, images etc. you want to be hidden. Example: [spoiler] Lots of text. End of paragraph.

Start of next paragraph. Lots of text. End of second paragraph. etc. etc.

Final sign off paragraph. Lots of text. Bye! [/spoiler] Becomes: Lots of text. End of paragraph. Start of next paragraph. Lots of text. End of second paragraph. etc. etc. Final sign off paragraph. Lots of text. Bye! I know it's not ideal. I'll put all the codes into a cheat sheet sticky post soon (when things settle down a bit at work) for people to reference until I can get all the buttons functioning how I want them. Because they will obey me, dammit. 😆

Bloody hell, I think I've cracked it. It should now work like the 'quote' button. So now you can either:
1. Highlight your spoilery stuff then click the totally attractive new 'S' button Note: if you do this in the preview view it still works, but it doesn't give you any indication that it has worked - I'll look into that later. EDIT: seems that it's temperamental used in preview view (that view works very differently to the others...) but works fine in the other view (I think!) Testing very welcome.
2. Don't highlight anything, but click the new 'S' button and type your spoilery stuff in-between the tags it generates (works on quick reply and bbcode view)
Let me know if anything is wonky with it. And yes, I know the default buttons are ugly, I am slowly working on new ones.

SnuffyBucket I'm wondering if you can somehow put these procedures for creating clickable images and other procedures that require codes, as a sticky note at the top of the Forum? I simply forget the procedure and find myself flipping back and forth between pages to find the posts where HermioneSims shared it. Mindlessly scrolling back and forth is exactly one of the things we want to avoid here, right? 😂

It should be ready to share soon! 😊 As an aside, I know you mentioned previously that you preferred page numbers at the bottom of the threads - that should now be implemented.

I'm happy to hear you're putting together a "how to" for the code stuff. That will be very helpful. Okay, trying the spoiler new button in quick reply mode: Here is where I'm putting all my super secret stuff. I want my secret stuff in paragraphs. Really short paragraphs because I have the attention span of a toddler on a sugar rush. I also can't be bothered to come up with real words this early in the morning, so here is some gibberish just so I can make the paragraphs long enough to fit on multiple lines. GSYHSL LSJHDUTST LKHDKJEG kjdhjehs ouwejhs khgkjehois kjagkjud hjasoujkgrla kjagsdkjgd ajhsuakjf ajsguogauha ajsuwu. I hope none of that is real words in a language I don't speak. Clearly, based on the all caps at the beginning, my gibberish self is annoyed about something. I have no idea what. And here is me in the morning: "Rejoice, World! I am awake now." - Baby Tranquility This method seems to be working.

Thanks SnuffyBucket I had overlooked that the page scrolled under the pinned numbers when I wrote. Or maybe it's a feature that came right after? However, I would say that the numbers at the bottom of the page are absolutely perfect, so that even distracted participants like me can orient myself 😅

Now I'm going to try the other method. Typing in the Preview mode and then adding the spoiler tags in the BBCode tab. This is all going to be under the spoiler. Because everything I am saying here is really super top secret. That's why it's under a spoiler. [/spoiler] Nope. I can't get this method to work. It keeps adding in the second part of the spoiler code (second bracket set with the / before spoiler) after the first paragraph, no matter how many times I delete that and put it at the end of the second paragraph. I might be doing something wrong.
