I was getting frustrated with always having the same limited supply of books available. So I had the idea to create a room saved to my library that holds books by my author sims from various saves. It has Memoirs of Parenting Ungrateful Children by Nyssa Landry Why You Shouldn't Paint by Diego Lobo Rooftop Assignations and Alley Kisses by Salim Benali A Child's Guide to Snobby Foods by Dina Caliente Books can be dragged from a sim's inventory into the world and copied through the Create Copy interaction. Then the original can be dragged back to the sim's inventory (so you can still publish it). The room can be added to any residence. Apartment or residential both work, haven't tested residential rentals as I refuse to buy For Rent until they fix it. The books then belong to the household automatically and can be moved or put away in bookshelves. The room can also be added to any retail lot and the books set for sale, if you would rather have your sims buy the books from a bookstore. Restocking works normally, generating new copies of the books. Afaik there's no way to make new books available for purchase through the "Purchase books" interactions. (I wish there was) I then thought, why not ask if my creative sim-friends would like to contribute books? I have learned that author tags won't appear in new saves. So the best way to share books would probably be to have the title include the author's name, so that the book looks like this and then save it in a room, upload to the gallery, and post the gallery link here. If people participate then I will continue to upload new versions of my By Acclaimed Authors room as more books are added

mightysprite I think it sounds like a really good idea. I myself have kept a few books in my library for private use. I'm not sure the titles are in English. I think it sounds like fun.

MonaSolstraale I don't see why the titles would need to be in English, perhaps some of our sims are bilingual
