Man, my Lit just isn't what I hoped it would be. I won't try to quit again, but I really had a vision for it that what I put out just doesn't measure up to, yknow? How do I deal with this feeling?

Zeph Creative works never turn out 100% what we expect them to be, and I think the best parts of a work often come from rolling with the punches and turning problems into opportunities. And sometimes you just gotta accept things and move on. My story isn't completely what I hoped it would be either, and a lot of ideas had to be scrapped due to technical limitations or otherwise. It does suck but what can you do. What bits are you having trouble with? If it's something that can be improved by practicing, you're on the right track. Don't get discouraged because your story isn't perfect from the get go- if you waited for things to be 100% from the beginning, you would never be able to start.

That one character y'all have yet to meet, occupying my entire brain space to the point where I'm envisioning animatics to them. I'm so close to the point in the story I wanted to write, but I wanna be there NOW!

Well, plum. I just realized there's a part of the current story that I have scheduled that a part of the first chapter directly contradicts. That's what I get for changing a critical part of the story mid-writing! And now I'm attached to the new version... What do I do now?

Zeph, ah the joys and challenges of serialized fiction. You have three choices: 1) ignore the contradiction and just do what you want 2) come up with BS explanation for why the contradiction isn't really a contradiction and insert it into a future chapter 3) remove the contradiction from the new chapter. I highly recommend 1 or 2 and never 3.

Zeph I definitely recognize that doubt and joy as well. luciusstorm says it quite precisely. I would also suggest you to ignore the contradiction. I have written episodes in my chapters that I can later see do not quite make sense in relation to the continuation. Trust that your readers aren't reading your story with a magnifying glass intent on looking for flaws and contradictions. They are there to be entertained and see what your story brings to mind. I myself feel that it took me quite a few chapters before I really found my form. That form has since changed over time. Writing is a living process

Wondering how progress on TMCM is going? I just got the Divergent Sims mod so I could properly make Arianna severely traumatized. Just normal writerly activitises.

Agh! I'm about to tear out my hair! I'm trying to get my Sim to get along with another, but EVERY interaction is being rebuffed! You'd think I'd have set the other Sim to hate every kind of interaction! I swear I could strangle them right now!

Relationships are being less woeful now because the Sim I want to marry just called up to say they've got a crush on mine! Which is especially nice because mine picked up the Unflirty trait at some point and it was gonna be a pain to push her along otherwise. My longest yeah boi ever!
