From about 2020 until 2024 I periodically participated in Aljay's Blueprint Build Challenge on the old Sims 4 forum (check it out before they take that forum down!). I quickly found that I love taking a set floor plan and seeing what different kinds of styles I can create just through the decorating, but I also discovered... I don't really like trying to convert blueprints into the sim build grid. So most of the time I ended up using the empty shells that Aljay (Aljay2000 on the Gallery) provided as starters. I am grateful for those, because I had a lot of fun turning them into whatever idea I had when I saw them.
All my slideshow posts for my entries lost their pictures when threads were migrated over to the new EA Sims forum. And I'm not wild about the design and UI of that forum, so I'm just going to create a new combined thread for all my entry's slideshows here (with links to download on the gallery). Might take me a while to get all of them up. I'll just add a couple at a time when I have some time to spare.
My name on the EA Sims 4 Gallery is "GlacierSnowGhost".
Aug 4, 2024 EDIT - AlJay2000 has renewed the Blueprint Build challenge on the new EA Sims forum as well. Link is here.

Hi GlacierSnow I hope it's ok for me to comment in this thread? AlJay2000 has set up a new challenge for August in the new Forum. I am thinking of joining to support her. You will find it here: August Challenge

Hi MonaSolstraale Comments are fine! Thanks for the link. I'll check it out. With work on SAM I've had a lot less time for the BB challenges, but I still like to do them occasionally when a particular layout inspires me.

It's fun to see your decor because I actually made that house too. Blueprints builds are a nice challenge because you don't have to struggle with building from scratch. Exactly the house you show here is a large house with many rooms, so it took time I remember. I will consider if I should also make a thread with Blueprintbuilds.
You have created a cozy restaurant with space for both small and large parties in many atmospheric rooms. I would like to have a cup of tea and a piece of cheesecake in the garden 😉 ☕

MonaSolstraale Thanks! Seeing what each builder does with the same basic design is one of the things I love about the Blueprint Build challenge. So many completely different ideas and interpretations of the plan. It's really inspiring to see that creativity.
