mightysprite Ops, I forgot to comment back! Techna is a mystery that will remain mostly mysterious until almost the end of the legacy. Most likely their processor is computing something, but what?
Gaia seems to trust them (at least for the moment), we'll see what the next hints will make her change her mind or not...

This is a very good chapter even though serious...
One of the things I really like about this series is how each generation is either dealing with new issues, looking at the same issues with a different perspective, or dealing with the consequences of previous generations' decisions on those issues. And it's not a smooth linear progression. The personality, circumstances, and interests of each character has shaped how they see things, even to the point of dismissing or undoing the work of previous generations in some cases. It's so true to real life in this way.
This chapter really illustrates this range of responses in the characters.

GlacierSnow , thanks a lot for commenting, as always! Showing different angles at each generation is something I was intentionally trying to do while writing, you I'm very glad you noticed! In particular in the last two generations I tried to underline it even more, as an attempt to wrap up everything before the big ending!

Today in most of Europe we're switching from day saving time to standard time, so my day was 1 h longer than usual, yet I'm so late with everything! I think it's Tim's fault, playing the Grim Reaper event weekly takes time... Yet, I'm so late with everything, and with reading other stories in particular! Yet, I decided to give priority to the translation of another chapter of the Millers, I still want to end this in a few months! So here I am with chapter 9.20 ( link ) After the big mess the last chapter was, did Gaia already find a solution? It's all in the chapter! |

Now that Tim's little adventure with the Reaper is over, I should have some more time to dedicate to the Millers again. Two chapters per week could be a bit tough, they're quite long from now on, but I'll try to post one every five days or so. So no more time to waste, chapter 9.21 is now out! ( link) Gaia is really rolling up her sleeves and working hard, will she succeed? Who knows... |

There were a few holidays in these weeks here in France, I'm taking advantage to move a bit faster with the updates. So here I am with chapter 9.23! ( link) This is a quite weird chapter... It's quite hard to define, probably I just wanted to close a few plot lines with it. |
