My two most recent chapters CW: suggestions of alcohol abuse, exia-mental illness, very bad mental health overall
After seeing Gareth bolt off, Florian is more confused them ever. Add that to recurring hallucinations, and it’s not weird they aren’t feeling perfectly well. As they usually do whenever there are no other options, Florian gets stuck in their routine of thinking of Gabi more than anyone, over-exercising, working incredibly hard and possibly drinking one too many tequila’s. Though of course they claim everything is “fine”, and scoff at themselves for feeling the way they do…
Florian’s weird break-up with Gareth and the recurring hallucinations really were the final straw. Feeling totally out of control of their life, with chaos that just keeps on coming, Florian started living on autopilot; barely taking care of themselves and stress-levels at an all time high. Everyone knows there’s something off, more than just a dip after a weird break-up. Even little Gabi, who is turning into an observant, curious and adventurous young girl, knows.

Chapter 19: RetreatI LOVE THIS PART AAAAAAAAAAAHHHHHAHAHAHAHHAHAH After realizing that staying in the place with all the mess yet responsibility would only dig their grave deeper, Florian goes on holiday. They end up in Shang Simla, a remote village in southwest China; and home of Simfu. A new hobby that Florian shows incredible talent for, and for a couple months it's all they think about. But the memories of home keep tugging at them. They can't stay here forever, though the village is beautiful and Florian makes some friends, they can't be themselves nor see a future there. Going home though, isn't it either... After another well-targeted darts arrow lands on a particular carribean archipelago, Florian goes there hoping to finally put an end to the hallucinations and bad thoughts. A need for adventure - and love - rejuvenates them...Will it help for real?        The bar poses at the end are made by yours truly.

CW: Both chapters contain very slight NSFW and chapter 21 also has subtle ED hints once againChapter 20: Call me FinnFlorian felt terrible. Then Florian started to heal - spending more than 3 months in China uncovering the secrets of Simfu, trying to forget the mess they left at home. There were still some of those damn hallucinations at first, but as Florian started to feel like themselves again - as far as that's possible for flamboyant, non-binary gay person in a small chinese village -, those disappeared as well. Hopeful again to have a life of joy and love, Florian dares to visit Isla Paradiso: the location of the fatefull heartbreak 14 years ago. They finally get a chance to scubadive, discover the real existence of a type of occult and gather their courage to go out. But there's no one there. Even the bartender keeps on hiding himself, and when he finally reveals himself, Florian cannot believe their eyes - the following days morph into a true paradise; but aren't there other things they've yet to tell each other?      Chapter 21: ParadiseIt might be helpful to reread chapter 3 "What mom talked about" and chapter 4 "Heartbreak"They last saw each other 14 years ago: the last thing they saw of each other, was Finn - back then still Yìchén - being pulled away by his homophobic mother after a fiery argument between the two; leaving Florian confused, but excited to see their very first real love again the next day at the resort. The next day Finn was gone. Florian didn't know anything but how to pronounce their name and that he lived in Beijing, one of the biggest cities in the world. Florian was heartbroken, but nothing they could do, no way to reach him. They don't even have the same social media. They never broke up. Never officially stopped loving each other; there only ever was trying to forget. And now, half a lifetime later, they found each other again in a miraculous way. Living in paradise and trying to make up for lost time together, their days consist of goofing around, making out, racing each other, making out again -       - Until Florian asks an important question and Finn can no longer keep his worries and thoughts to himself.   |
