A fundamental part of any Sims-related forum. One question:
What happened in your game today?

Yes! But I'm going to interpret "today" as "most recent play session". So this is from playing last night:

Today was gameplaying for the next chapter of Cornelius so it was a bit of hanging around Britechester University and part doing some investigating in Strangerville. A slice of campus life here...

The last time I played my main game it generated about a dozen new college students! So instead of playing today, I had to go into CAS and retcon each and every one to look Sixties.

I think it's impressive how you can capture the style almost without cc. Customizing all the randomly generated townies can be quite a task. ๐

Oh I have tons of cc but the game does provide plenty of clothing that would suit the 1960s.

Dolfin made an important change to his house in preparation for getting married. And then he started to learn candle making.

Sadly, my main story save is bugged after the last update. So, I've revived a couple of old saves just to play around with while I wait for either the bug to be fixed or me to have the energy to rebuild my main story save. Today I find myself enjoying a little flashback with Cassie Goth and Gwen Silveroak, fresh out of college and living in the city and pursuing their dreams Dreams, however, are not the only pursuits going on. Don Lothario is definitely pursuing Cassie. (I think Salim from next door is just pursuing a free meal.)

Nice beard Don ๐ PS. He is one of my hero figures because most people hate him and I really think it is exciting to look into the psyche of the superficially irresponsible womanizer. (It must be said that I have never related to the game Lore)

Nice beard Don ๐ PS. He is one of my hero figures because most people hate him and I really think it is exciting to look into the psyche of the superficially irresponsible womanizer. (It must be said that I have never related to the game Lore) In the background my Wyrd Girls stories, Don ends up in a passionate relationship with Cassie, becomes her manager as she starts out in the music industry, but ultimately leaves her at the altar while she's pregnant (making him the father of Miranda, the main character of Wyrd Girls). However, what that summary doesn't show, and a storyline I keep toying with, in my head, is that Don also helped Cassie rebuild her confidence after she was assaulted in her last year of college, actively protected her from some Very Bad People during her early days in the music industry and ultimately left her because he realized that he wasn't right for her, believing he would be a horrible husband and father. (The big thing holding me back from actively writing it is that I have a hard time thinking of the storyline without it being... both extremely risquรฉ and extremely dark.)

The last time I played my game was a good couple of days ago. At that time, I actively got Wyvern Hall ready for the batch of teens I intend to drag through university. I have been playing my latest Reset of my Cantrell family, Cantrell: The Early Years, wherein I have taken them into the Wayback Machine. I took Erik, the one I created when I first brought him over from Sims3 to play my Founder in the Pinstar's Legacy Challenge, Sims 4 version.
From him I generated his parents and purposefully changed their look from all other iterations of this hapless story. LOL I guess I wanted to have the constant reminder this was a different save. A way, I hope, of having me change my gameplay and just how my Sims achieve their goals. It's refreshing, I must say.
I had just Joseph, Louise and their first two children in CAS. I took Erik and aged him down to an Infant. My goodness, but was he a cutie, too. Aaron starts out as a Toddler. The other children are born in game. I'm also delving a bit more into Brianna's story than I've ever done before.
At any rate, I created Grand Uncle Joseph Allistair Cantrell and played him for a bit. Snagged some pictures while I was at it. He's new, as far as being an actual Sim in the game.
Then the reason why the family left Vulcan occurred. They have moved into Del Sol Valley into the Cantrell House. This time it's a Victorian I was challenged (by myself) to build. Given the timeline of my story, they move in the same year it aged up to four hundred Standard Earth years old.
Erik has already graduated from high school, early and he's busy working on building his Music career and doing very nicely, too. The other three, and a certain other female Sim have to also graduate early and then it's off to Wyvern Hall for the five of them. And that's all. I have posted many of the updates over under stories in your Creative Corner, for those who are interested.

Needed a break from another save, so I returned to Alexis and Catalina. With profits from both their businesses they were able to buy a new home. With more space for them and the pets๐ They still have lots to unpack but they decided to take a break and since the radio was already out they celebrated with a dance.

I spun up a side save to explore the Sigworth family and wouldn't you know it, the game handed me some potential storytelling gold. Little Christie Sigworth woke up in the middle of the night to use the bathroom... and on her way back to her room, spotted her mom behaving very Strangely...

luciusstorm I love it when just the perfect storytelling moment happens! Nice shot too. It's so creepy feeling. I love how her mom is on the way out the door in what appears to be her nightgown.
