I too am interested in the past 👀 as ellupelluellu , will be looking out for hints in the future. You wrote their characters well, especially Erwin. I like how he drops all this detail on her, but if anyone is willing to listen 😃 He did make it sound interesting. danirose, thank you. One can only assume that combination of the aluminum shell and the light's electrical field blocks Z-waves.  blueseawaves, thank you as well. I enjoyed writing Erwin's bit. I'm having a lot of fun taking the "dialogue" the game drops and incorporating it into the story in my own ways. I hope you all enjoy what comes next... new chapter next Wednesday, as usual.

ellupelluellu, I like having those connections between my stories. I'm working on finding the balance between having a share universe and not requiring that my readers have read all my stories to understand my latest one. (I think of it as 'the Marvel Cinematic Universe' problem.) As for Jess... all in good time.

luciusstorm Without knowing so much about your universe in advance, I'd say I'm quite taken. Lucius is a witch. Aha, that makes sense. It gives me an extra sense of recognition or being invited into the process when I recognize a scene around the grill that I have seen you pondering in another thread. The poster with Cassie gives the same feeling. I love how the child becomes a truth witness in your story. She describes what she observes 😊

As I was saying to ellupelluellu, I'm glad the story is accessible to someone who doesn't know my universe as well, and that it also holds some surprises that long time readers might already know (or think they know ). I like the process as much as the final work, so glad the share. Kids are great. Kids, I think, have not yet learned to reject the world they see in favor of the world they've been taught ought to be. They also have no fear about sharing their truth... as anyone who has ever been embarrassed by a young kid sharing intimate family secrets with anyone in earshot knows.

Molly’s dinosaur comment gave me a good laugh 😆 Kinda sad that she thinks Cas might not remember her. Seems after high school everyone went their own separate way.
I love Christie just spilling the beans, kids can’t keep a secret 😭 immediately thought back on the screenshot of her catching her mother on her... midnight stroll. Poor Jess, just repeating that line until she believes it, that'll work.
Really enjoying the story so far! Can't wait for more

blueseawaves, sadly going their separate ways happens a lot in life. I think Molly would be shocked to learn about the story Cas told Miranda and Mariah. Kids are great. I wasn't going to include much of Christie at first. She turned out to be a great vehicle for breaking my writer's block. Jess, I think, is rather stuck between her job and her family.

Awesome chapter. 😁 I love the way everything feels like just another ordinary day for the moment. It really heightens the tension. There's no way Cas forgot about Molly.

danirose, thank you. "Such a perfect day..." Molly can't imagine that millionaire superstar Cassie the Raven Witch would remember her. Of course, Cas remembers Molly. No problem. There isn't a deadline, especially if it gives you time to write.
