I'm enjoying having Molly take center stage. We will see more of her interesting nicknames.

While I love a good romance, I decided that Molly didn't need one. She's a strong, independent woman who likes people but is at a point in her life where she isn't with anyone. In real life, I've known too many people who feel that being in a relationship is a requirement and end up staying in bad relationships because of that. I know I'm writing a bestselling novel or anything but I wanted to showcase a female character who very much doesn't need to be in a romantic relationship with someone. Yes, she and Lucius will team up but since Molly's a lesbian and Lucius (despite his wonderful hair) is a guy, there's really no possibility of romance between them. (Wow, that was a long answer to a short comment, but it's one of those story elements that I gave a lot of thought to. )

MonaSolstraale, sometimes my stories just flow, like they were already there, waiting to be written down. Other times, like this time, I need to work for the story. Still, I feel like it's coming along well despite, for maybe because of, that (touch wood).

I struck on the idea of Molly giving everyone nicknames as a neat character quirk. I hadn't thought about why, but when you say it's a way to remember names it makes sense, given how Molly moves from place to place troubleshooting projects. Cool, I love it when I do something clever by accident.
